Mr. Black earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he was a member of the Oklahoma Law Review, a class representative, and a teaching assistant. Mr. Black was inducted into the Order of the Coif, a distinction he earned by placing in the top 10% of his class. Mr. Black was also the recipient of a Comfort “Top 10” Scholarship.

Mr. Black previously served as a clerk for the Honorable Judge Gregory Frizzell in the Northern District of Oklahoma and an Assistant Solicitor General for the State of Oklahoma. In his capacity as Assistant Solicitor General, Mr. Black authored multiple Attorney General Opinions and represented the State of Oklahoma before the United States Supreme Court in Oklahoma Statewide Charter School Board v. Drummond, 605 U.S. 165 (2025).
