Mr. Rotenberg has over 20 years of experience handling real estate, banking, development, construction, and financing transactions. He has represented financial institutions, Fortune 100 companies, and a variety of not-for-profit clients, as lenders, administrative agents, borrowers, developers, buyers, sellers, franchisees, landlords and tenants. Mr. Rotenberg’s transactional experience includes, secured lending transactions (senior debt, subordinated and mezzanine loan originations, participations, assignments, sales, securitizations, and workouts), as well as acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and construction projects (office buildings, medical offices, shopping centers, mixed-use developments, hotels, casinos, marinas, golf courses, restaurants, condominiums, cell towers, and tax credit investments). Mr. Rotenberg is also a former Adjunct Professor of Law at the DePaul University College of Law, in Chicago, Illinois.
Prior to joining Frederic Dorwart, Lawyers in February 2013, Mr. Rotenberg was a Vice President in the Real Estate Managed Assets Group of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., in Chicago, IL (2009 to 2013); Senior Associate, Sidley Austin LLP, Chicago, IL (2004 to 2009); Associate, Field and Goldberg LLC, Chicago, IL (2002-2004); Associate, Neal Gerber and Eisenberg LP, Chicago, IL (1999-2002).
Mr. Rotenberg was graduated from The University of Chicago Law School, J.D. with honors in 1999 where he won multiple American Jurisprudence Awards, and was an Alternate-Finalist in the Charles Evans Hughes Moot Court Competition. Mr. Rotenberg was graduated from University of Michigan in 1994, B.A., magna cum laude, political science.
