 Oil and Gas Law
In our Oil and Gas Practice, we represent oil and gas drilling, collecting, processing, and marketing companies in a wide range of transactions and litigation. For our clients, we develop and prepare title opinions and examinations, easements, general oil and gas contracts, royalty contracts, division orders, and documentation for the sale and acquisition of oil and gas land and equipment. In addition, we help our clients maintain compliance with the regulatory rules of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and the environmental regulations of various state and federal agencies. Beyond specific oil and gas related transactions, we also counsel our clients regarding general business matters, from financing their capital investments to taxation to mergers and acquisitions.

Given the often-litigious nature of the oil and gas industry, our firm represents clients in court settings, both state and federal, in a number of areas, including royalty owner disputes and bankruptcy proceedings. We also represent both plaintiffs and defendants in operating agreement disputes, breach of contract claims, and title disputes. We further represent our clients against administrative actions brought by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and other governmental agencies, including forced-pooling, increased well density, and environmental damage matters.
