Dennis Bires is a tax lawyer, whose expertise extends to Estate Planning and Business Planning. As a professor at The University of Tulsa College of Law for more than two decades, Mr. Bires taught and published articles in the fields of Federal Income Tax, Estate and Gift Tax, Corporate Tax, and Trusts and Estates. Among his colleagues at Frederic Dorwart, Lawyers, are distinguished alumni of his law school courses.
Prior to his academic career, Mr. Bires engaged in the private practice of law in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and served as a Tax Analyst in the Trust Department at Chase Manhattan Bank, in New York. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
Outside professional life, Mr. Bires heads the Docent Program at The Nature Conservancy's Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, in Osage County, Oklahoma, where volunteers interpret the restored tallgrass prairie ecosystem for visitors from more than 40 states annually, and as many foreign countries.
Mr. Bires received both his J.D. and the LL.M. Degree in Taxation at New York University School of Law,where he was a published law journal editor.
